Peace Dollars were minted from 1921 until 1935 by the United States Mint and replaced the Morgan Dollar. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the Peace Dollar commemorates the United States’ victory in World War I along with the peace that followed. Each Peace Dollar weighs 0.859 troy ounces (26.73 grams) and is composed of 90% (0.900) silver giving them a total of 0.773 troy ounces of silver.
