Remembering Mac Luck

It’s appropriate to help get this blog going with remembering Mac Luck.  He started Jefferson Coin Shop way back in the 1960’s, though I didn’t meet him until the 1980’s.  He was always a pleasant fellow to deal with, and always fair.  And remarkable to me is that I still meet some coin people from around the state who, when finding out I’m from the Charlottesville area, ask me if I knew Mac Luck.  And they all have had only positive things to say about him.

Jim and Kara Luck carry on Mac’s tradition.  In a field which is sometimes confusing and in which there are a lot of people interested only in fast profits, it’s great that there is a family business which is local and which has been treating people fairly for so long.
